Shaggy Parasol

My turn to play chauffeur for Mrs IttH today as she's been helping a friend who's exhibiting at the Kendal ComicCon. The event looks (to my passing eye) smaller than last year - and the lack of promotion for it smacks of yet another missed opportunity for one of the least commercially aware local councils in the UK - South Lakes really just don't seem to 'get it'.
After delivering her safely to the Brewery Arts Centre me and pooch headed out to Hutton Roof for a wander. I'd thought I might do a little bouldering around on the little outcrops - but as we parked up it started to rain - never a good mix with polished limestone.
So instead we wandered around the woods - somewhere I always find a little spooky in a nice way, the trees growing through and around the rocks in an almost symbiotic way- they were also dense enough to keep us dry which was a plus.
We finished through the churchyard where I found these growing under an ancient yew. Sadly I also found a obviously just dead sparrowhawk - no damage at all, hopefully old age and not poisoned.
