The Five Lights

In the absence of a great photo, I will have to make it up with words.
1. I tried out a carpool today, not telling my vanpool mates why I would be absent. Traitor I am! The carpoolers are new lawyers and I loved talking the law with them. Also it was much nicer to be in a car than a van. The downsides: I'll have to drive more, and they don't go down to Salem on Friday and I have to drive to Sellwood about ten minutes away. I'm thinking about it.
2. I went to the lawyer's lunch to raise money for --Legal Aid---my old employer who closed my office. I saw Legal Aid friends and got to grin at the board president who did that dastardly deed and he couldn't quite smile back. haha!
3. I tried to go to see the world famous artist Kara Walker at Reed college, but it was packed full by the time I arrived. If you don't know her see this, here
4. I toiled away at work, trying to find a way to make a difference, but I didn't find the key.
5. Came home to my empty house, son moved off, partner traveling without me, and it was lovely and quiet.
