Boo Boo Belly

Poor Corra. This morning Corra squealed out in pain when I was trying to get ready for work. She kept looking at her belly afterwards, and I was worried she had done some real damage to her stitches =\ They are all internal, so it is really hard to tell. Mr. Badger and I had also noticed some swelling around the incision developing over the weekend. After I determined that she seemed fine otherwise, I went into the office anyways. Mr. Badger decided that between the swelling and yelps, he was going to call the vet's office. When they got back to him, they told him to bring her in for a 2 o'clock appointment. The vet was really pleased at how energetic she was, since that indicated that she mustn't be feeling all that terrible. However, it seems that her body is rejecting the stitches =\ She'll be on antibiotics for the next 10 days. Hopefully she is far enough along that she'll be just fine. The vet said that even if the incision pops open at this point, she should be healed up enough that it won't be a big deal. Poor puppy though :(

But if you can't tell from the second photo, she is still up to her naughty antics ;) She even got Loki involved in ripping up the tissue paper and gift bag from Mr. Badger's present! She'll be okay, just needs some meds and cuddles <3
