Pikeawassa

After all the rain and road closures yesterday I still managed to get to How Town this morning in time for the U3A walk. Starting near the church we headed steeply up Steel Knott to the summit Pikeawassa from where the blip was taken. The light over Martindale was lovely. We continued along the ridge before ascending Wether Hill from where the route took us to Loadpot Hill, Arthurs Pile and Bonscale Pike. A grand total of five Wainwrights. Tea and cakes were consumed at the end in the lovely tea room at the How Town Hotel. The ground was incredibly wet so my next challenge is drying the boots.

The extra is the view over Ullswater from the start of the Steel Knotts ridge.
