Make our Homes and Streets Safe!

Taken at a fascinating exhibition entitled "Not as it is written: Black Pittsburgh in voice and image" that was being held at the The Great North Museum: Hancock (or "The John Hancock Museum" as it was called when I lived near Newcastle thirty years ago).  

The original of this photo is by Charles "Teenie" Harris.  The subject is a Republican campaign billboard from Morgan Street, Hill District, taken October 1949.
