Perfect day
With music to look forward to we headed off down the M1 to Sheffield. First to meet old friends for a wonderful lunch in a superb Italian restaurant. Then to mooch about the Winter Gardens and the Millennium Galleries where we found the Ruskin Gallery and this amazing ammonite. I didn't even know Ruskin had a Sheffield connection.
Finally, by way of an excellent pub The Bradfield, we made it to the very cute Cafe 9 in Nether Edge.
Saw Laura Cortese and the Dance Cards perform a spellbinding set. Came home with a CD an LP and a very happy heart.
