Before the climb

Pont de Lima to Rubiaes.

A long walk but we were feeling strong. The 450m climb was fine, but the fresh water at the top extremely welcome. We have gathered a few friends on the way and cheered each other in at the first beer stop towards the end of the day. Very funny, even though there was still mile or so to go.

We even had a little swim before our pilgrims dinner (taxi organised by out hosts, as there was little else around. All very efficient. If not, we would happily have gone to sleep hungry.)
