End of the Season

This small sailing boat sits-out the day knowing the fun is over for another year and contemplating when her owner will come to lift her out.

The prospect of a long cold winter on the hard does not exactly fill her with joy but it is at least preferable to remaining afloat and fighting winter winds and waves continually straining her mooring with failure leading to near certain catastrophe.
