There and back again - Day 8

Exploring around the coast from Tairua.

We drove up a very windy and rough track to find the large Kauri which are a NZ native tree that can last for over 1500 years.
Back to the coast we walked the steep and windy path down to Cathedral cove, an unspoilt beach with nothing but the sand and sea.
This is the postcard shot which I always try to find but you have to be up very early to get no-one in the picture.
New Zealand has been a back drop to many films which is part of the reason for our trip.
