Daylight savings are here again...

After a late evening in town last night, this evening was the first time I've really appreciated what a difference the extra hour makes when you're home from work.

Back in the valley just after 5.15 afforded a great opportunity to head out for a stroll with the dogs and take in the beautiful evening light and evensong from the birds.

The hills were lit up in technicolour; the low sun casting a golden pall over the evergreen foliage and green, green grass. What's more the willow blossom is now out, the irksome, yet beautifully fragrant gorse has exploded into ochre flower and the first of the cabbage tree flouresecence is starting to sprout from their spiky nests.

You could say that the hayfever season is in full swing....
