The Missouri River
It is 5 pm on our second day of traveling. A much better day even though we got up EARLY and were on the road by 5:30am. Much better weather overall but now it is cloudy and the wind is blowing 25 to 30mph. And much Colder! We may see rain or snow showers before we call it a day at North Platte, Nebraska in a little over an hour. We have traveled over 1400 miles through parts of these states, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, a tiny corner of Iowa, and Nebraska. Tomorrow we have about an 8 hour day that will take us the rest of the way through Nebraska into Wyoming and then Colorado.
Our dog has started the sighing flops on her bed in the truck. She sits up, looks out the window, sighs or gives us a look and then lays back down. She has done well. I think she is saying " Are we there yet?"
This is the Missouri River as we crossed the bridge from Iowa into Nebraska around 1pm. A big long river as we had already crossed it near Boonville, Missouri earlier in the day.
