When Two Spiders Collide ....

.......... everything goes blurry except the shadow!!!

Technically way out of focus in parts but I wanted to show the before and the after .....

I watched these two spiders edge closer and closer to each other, one leg each stretching out ..... one shutter click got the top shot, the second shutter click gave rubbish results and the third shutter click got the bottom shot and shows the spiders milliseconds after they touched legs - neither me nor the camera settings quick enough to catch the action - BUT - what does fascinate me is the fact that the shadow of 'lefty spider' is totally complete on the leaf and shows no movement at all - proving, I think, that both spiders moved faster than the speed of light!! Amazing!!

Larger is only a little bigger but may be worth it for the detail.

No post-processing to either photo except a crop and a sharpen - the action was just as it happened.
