Saturday: Filling Station

We left Shasta Lake and headed north to Bend, Oregon. It seems superfluous to talk about scenery etc as each day is spectacular and words increasingly fail us. On the way today, we stopped off at a diner - it was busy when we arrived and became increasingly so while we were there. Turns out today was the beginning of the duck hunting season - many of the customers there were in full camo, amd had t-shirts with phrases like: 'NRA - Protecting America's Freedom'. It was definitely interesting, but by far from our habitual habitat.

Anyway, Bend is much more liberal and definitely more our natural habitat. Very artsy/craftsy and lots of microbreweries.

A couple of times it's been hard to choose, so there is an extra.
