A fine morning

One of those rare things today, a beautiful morning, sunny and calm.
After a fine breakfast Canadian style I quickly mixed the Christmas cakes and popped them in the oven.
Then we set off to enjoy the weather to Scout Scar. It was almost warm with the sun on our backs, and we saw some pipits and a young flat coat retriever who Pepper growled at.
A quick foray into Kendal and then home to check on the cakes, Rob went to mow the meadows and I settled down to get Sophie's nursery bedding nearer to completion. Pleasing progress but not there yet.
Rob came in covered on clippings and worn out but a steak supper and a glass of wine soon revived him.
