The Falls
Today's our last full day on the Isle of Arran before heading back to the mainland tomorrow (boo-hiss) but we had a beautiful morning to greet us so off we went to make the most of the day.
We headed through Whiting Bay and took a trek up through the wooded hills to the Glenashdale Falls a double waterfall 45m high. There's a vertigo inducing platform that allows you to get a better view and pictures but you really can't do them justice in a blip.
Onwards around the top of the hills to the Giants' Graves the remains of two Neolithic chambered tombs on the hilltops overlooking Whiting Bay and the Holy Isle with Goat Fell visible in the distance (see extras).
After all that exercise I think wee hawf's in order, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...........slainte!
Have a lovely weekend blippers :-)))
