Shelter From the Storm

Yesterday I'd already planned my blip of the little bracket fungi hugging the small dead branch which I'd found on Saturday, but whilst dunging the paddock I noticed lots of these delicate little 'shrooms seemingly forming a fairy-ring around a clump of rough growth. I reckon this particular one must have sensed that the weather overnight and earlier today was going to be cold, wet and windy as it almost seems to be using the nettle as shelter. Fortunately the weather cleared earlier and we had sun this afternoon - so on arriving home from work I was able to pop out into the paddock after feeding Tom and grab a couple of shots of it.
