Hodge Close Quarry and a Blipmeet...

Thursday is the free day at Lakeland Photo Holidays, and six of us took ourselves off in 2 cars to visit Hodge Close Quarries. The weather was much kinder than of late and the sun shone for most of the day. This photo is taken from the north rim of one of the disused quarry pits.

Fellow blippers Technophobe and LooseCanon have been staying locally at their cottage in Keswick this week, so riversider and I took the opportunity of having a blipmeet meal at the Swinside Inn near Braithwaite this evening., along with John Gravett. A good time was had by all, and although no cake was consumed the pheasant burgers were delicious. The extra is a phone camera "selfie" of the 5 of us (none of us had a "proper" camera with us - how disgraceful!!) - from right to left:
