Furniture removals
The hotel wifi was very hit and miss so I am back blipping this shot from Wednesday. The weather was lovely so we had a drive out to The Golden Triangle. As we were driving down the main road we saw these two transporting a table, presumably to a cafe. I will put a shot of the river at the Triangle as an extra.
Whilst there we visited The Hall of Opium. It was extremely interesting, tracing the history of opium from it's use in Ancient Egypt, where it was originally grown, through to the famous Opium Wars and finally modern times? Amazing to think that originally it was used in everyday medications as a cure for anything from toothache to stomach pains, it was even given to babies. Coming up to modern times the exhibition covered the misery that heroin use causes. So from interesting and mildly amusing in the end it was very sad. Unfortunately no photographs were allowed. When you first enter the exhibition they have a garden, behind glass, with opium poppies growing. They are beautiful and come in three colours red, white and pink.
