Road trip

As the last few days have been dry we decided it was time for a road trip,  so we booked a room packed our bags and headed for Chiang Rai.   It was raining when we left home and as we got closer to our destination it got heavier.  Going through this village the traffic was almost at a stand still the reason becoming obvious,  the river had broken it's banks and the road was flooded.   Some gardens were also flooded and sadly some houses.  

It continued to rain in the afternoon, but had stopped, thankfully by the evening.  We went for dinner at a the sister restaurant to the Indian restaurant in Chiang Mia,  we knew that one of the chefs from Chiang Mai was here so we surprised him.

The wifi here is a bit hit and miss which is why I'm back blipping this shot from yesterday.  This morning it seems to still be dry.
