The only one

A small amount of beer-related work done I took off into Edinburgh with my bike to pick up some of the boy's birthday presents and generally mooch around looking for some recommended beer. 

Looked at books but that's as far as it went. Nothing jumping off the shelves or the tables forcing themselves to be bought and some of the interesting looking ones were just too big to be bothered with. I mean, Paul Auster managed to write The Brooklyn Follies in 300 pages but his latest 4 3 2 1 is over 1,000. Can't they just edit them down to 500 pages or so? I can't imagine they've got enough to say that they couldn't do it with fewer adjectives. Anyway, that would be for the Kindle (after checking the sample chapter). 

Popped up to Bruntsfield to see an old pal and get a cuppa and then I just happened to be passing Cloisters and it was too early for the off-peak return so I took myself in there for a few minutes.
