Ely Blipmeet

A lovely relaxed blipmeet today in Ely. I couldn't resist the traditional blipmeet photo, but taken in front of the magnificent cathedral. A close up is in Extras, as are a couple of mono shots I liked from inside the cathedral.

First stop was The Almonry by the cathedral for the traditional tea and cake. In attendance were GracieG, JohnRH, Nicoiseannie, lisa24270, paulym, Valerie1940, norfolkdoc and TonyLuxton. Then we walked down to the river in glorious sunshine and split up briefly to either walk round a lake or visit a very large antiques emporium (yep - that's where I went). Then we met back at The Almonry for a very nice lunch and chat. Then on to the cathedral as the clouds appeared, planning to arrive just as several hundred school children were leaving! It was lovely and peaceful inside when they left and we could take a rare photo of the cathedral without all the chairs laid out - see extras, I thought the floor showed up better in mono.
