Primitive.

Today we all had a day with a local family...Danny, Asha and I went to a couple called Zilda and Chichico...I know them quite well so knew what to expect, and fortunately my portuguese is coming back to me more and more each day! They live in a brick house which is really nice compared to many people's homes...this is Zilda's kitchen - very primitive but she cooks THE most wonderful food here. She killed a chicken in our honour...very tasty. Danny spent time with Chichico cleaning the skins off cashew nuts so we in the developed world can get them all nice and white - it's hard work and pays next to nothing...
We spent the afternoon with another family, the 14 year old daughter raises the other 2 girls and looks after her Dad - a wonderful girl who has had her childhood stolen from her.
We're off to the beach tomorrow to have a bit of missionary training from Mike and Daveen - it'll be sad to leave...
