Faster
'Faster', ( but not necessarily fast ) it says on the wing outside my window of our FlyBe plane, and of course it is although it seldom feels that way when sitting waiting at airport gates for some action , standing in an interminable queue in security to divest oneself of so much clothing and accoutrements, that it's hardly worthwhile putting them on in the first place or being taken on a bus tour round the houses to get from the aircraft stand point to the Terminal.
It was a dark 7am when our taxi took us to Jersey airport, but it felt mild and it was dry. It was 10.15 , cold, bleak and raining when arrived back in Edinburgh. Welcome home!
I have to say, Jersey airport which is only a small domestic one is more pleasant than some to spend time in, but they did divest His Lordship of a small penknife which he had forgotten was in the foot of a haversack he seldom uses. Strangely enough, in Edinburgh which had us both frisked and Xrayed on the way to Jersey, they allowed him to keep it because they said it was small enough.
Our journey home was wholly in cloud so that we saw nothing until we were preparing to land as we passed over west Edinburgh.
My extra image is the product of one of my 'What ifs' as we flew above clouds, and I imagined the worst, as you do!
