Forced Purchase

The financials of repairing my water-damaged laptop (still not guaranteed possible and with a cost of at least €250) together with the need to rent a replacement for nearly two weeks (€40 per day with €700 deposit) to cover me during upcoming travels plus the fact that the old one is nearly four years old and beginning to hiccup, made it seem better all round to replace it.  I'll still get it back and see if I can do my own drying out with bags of rice and perhaps have it has an emergency back up. At least, we got all the data off the old one and the new one is a well made piece of kit.    This is a 13' version without the touch bar which I felt I wouldn't take advantage of and finished in space grey metallic which is a bit of a change.
