Saturday Librarian! Off to work and a Yu Gi Oh tournament run by some library teen volunteers and about 25 young people. It was great, a really nice atmosphere with lads from 8 to 18 all duelling together.
I attempted to get home as quickly as possible but none of my bus / train connections worked so I ended up walking from the next town along the muddy canal. I did see some lovely pigs at Well-i-Hole on the way so swings and roundabouts.
I walked in to a wonderful surprise! The original 50's table I lusted after last weekend was now in my house!
D, despite being poorly had gone to buy me the table then carried it home and had it ready for when I got home. Perfect. I love it.
I couldn't believe it - I was a bit gobsmacked to be honest, I don't expect things like this to happen to me. I'm not used to having surprise presents. It's never happened before.
But...you know, I'm getting used to it!
It needs a little TLC, so paint has been bought and I have a little project to work on.
Saturday evening with take out, Boosh and Boosh....
...and the table of course.
