Black rustic

One of the lovely autumnal moths I am catching at the moment, is the Black rustic Aporophyla nigra, It is very difficult to get a camera to do the wonderful velvety blackness justice - such a handsome moth, he looks like he is wearing a black waistcoat!
It is common in the south (this specimen must be the 10th I have caught this year) but has a more scattered distribution further north, and flys in September and October.
