Above Ivy Scar

Day 1 of walking the Cleveland Way: from Helmsley to Sutton Bank. We have 110 miles to do before we reach the end at Filey.

This is the view from the southern tip of the Sutton Bank, called (if I've read the map right) Ivy Scar. It was a fine day, and after sitting on a bench here, all we had left to do was a stroll to the visitor centre for a cup of tea. Then a taxi to take us to Thirsk for the night.
