Witch's egg
Phallus impudicus - the common stinkhorn - here in its immature form known as a Witch's egg. The gelatinous gleba has just started oozing out of the volva although it hasn't started to smell yet. Apparently there is an ecological link between the distribution of stinkhorns and badger setts.
