Watching 6 a-side soccer
A quieter day after yesterday's travelling. A leisurely morning consisted of breakfast in the back garden then a drive to Carlsbad where we walked along the beach in both directions and then around the town. The early part of the walk was in sea mist but that burned off to give a bright, warm afternoon.
We had quite possibly the worst coffee ever at a cafe that boasted about the quality of it's coffee so we promptly headed to different cafe for another cup, which was much better. So good in fact that we stayed for lunch.
After the walk we strolled around Carlsbad's Farmers Market which was very interesting, with lots of samples of fruit and farm produce to try. Very good they all were too.
In the evening we watched Chris play 6 a-side soccer with a local team; his side won comfortably 9-1 which Chris contributing a goal to the tally. Today's blip is of people watching the game from the bleachers in the golden light of the setting sun.
. This was a very busy sports area as there were many football teams and a cheerleading team too. Unfortunately it was not possible to take a photos of the game as there was fencing and netting around the pitch.
Back home we cooked a Blue Apron vegetarian quesadillas dinner. This is where the company provide all the ingredients in a bag, plus the recipe. A good idea for busy people.
