Happy 59th Sweetie!

He has been working crazy hours! Never home before 9:30 and out the door at 6:30 every day. Working from home weekends and evenings for the past month. I dropped off a dozen Prairie Girls gourmet cupcakes at his work mid- afternoon to bring some cheer to this tense and overworked office (and in hopes that it may sprng him early)....it worked! He made it home by 8:30 so we had more than 1 hr together before we fell asleep. Our very kind neighbours brought over a birthday carrot cake for him too. As he is retiring at the end of this year i bought him snow shoes. He has gone once several years ago and loved it. Our kitty came to inspect, as seen at the top of the photo. We have also booked a boys 4 day w/e in Denver, Colorado mid November for my husband and our eldest (in Vancouver), to see both an NFL and NBA game, hence the Broncos toque in the pic which is a gift from our eldest. That will be the real birthday celebration.
