A dozen goldfinches

... in the garden at once! And I've added an inset of one of them to make a baker's dozen! 

They were coming and going this morning, along with chaffinches, tits and blackbirds. I managed to count 11 at one point, then my photo showed there were twelve on the ground at once. (If you see an extra one, apart from my inset one, it might be a leaf that is the same colours!)  There may have been yet more, but they were too numerous and quick to count. Very different scene in the garden by afternoon when it was pouring with rain: just a couple of blue tits on the nuts!
