Betty's Wood
Starting to look a bit like something from the Somme during WW1.
Our morning walk took us past the entrance to Betty's Wood and it is certainly looking different from our last walk through just over a week ago before the tree felling started. As you can see in the background there is still quite a way to go.
Lots of other signs of autumn in the woods. Few trees have actually 'turned' but there seems to be quite a few leaves on the ground (especially Beech)
It has been dry and mainly dull all day. Got some washing dry though. Chris spent all morning making his casserole for his first time catering for our church luncheon club tomorrow.
It tastes very nice but I shall be elsewhere, heading SW whilst he mashes his potatoes!
