Autumn

A very soft light on the beach on my way to football tonight. Just wasn't my night on the pitch. My first shot came back off the post and then a series of saves from the goalkeeper, each on a little better than the last, kept out five more decent goalscoring chances. I certainly should have done better when I was one-on-one with the keeper but don't know how he managed to react quickly enough to keep out the last one, when I managed to get the ball past the defender just in front of him, and therefore obscuring his view until the very last minute. Still, despite my own lack of success our team won comfortably and I created a couple of goals and several more goal-scoring opportunities with some decent through balls.
