Layer Marney Cat

Our lovely hostess laid on a surprise for us today which was an invitation to view Layer Marney Tower.  The Tower is open to the public and holds weddings and many other events but the 'invitation to view' is a special tour of the owners' house which is attached to the Tower. 

I was invited to the wedding of my cousin H quite a few years ago in the Church here, his wife is the sister of the current owner.  I was unable to go to the wedding so it was more than a lovely surprise to visit the Tower today and meet my Cousin's Sister in Law who gave us the most wonderful and passionate history of this amazing property.

There was a civil wedding here today and the sun shone, not only on the beautiful bride, the handsome groom dressed in a black velvet frock coat very much suited to the environment, all the guests and us.  More of our visit  here.
