Eye to eye

'Red' (S&B's Black Lab!) eyeing up a Lizard on the pool pump house but the Lizard outsmarted Red.  However, Red gave a very good sheepdog impression of rounding up the hens later!!  

Another glorious day in paradise with the temperature rising to the low 30's.  In the morning we browsed round the market at Villereal and then to Monflanquin for coffee and a light lunch then a bit of a siesta.

In the evening we took our friends out for dinner at a delightful little restaurant in the square at Monflanquin - lovely to be still sitting out under the stars in the warm night air.    

On our various car journeys we saw a few Deer leaping through maize fields,  partridge running across the road, two beautiful Buzzards, a gorgeous Red Kite doing low aerobatics and in the garden, Lizards, Swallowtail and blue butterflies and huge bees.  I have yet to locate the owner of the loud 'ribbit' noises we can hear from the neighbour's pond.
