Honour
I was going to call this image "Choices" which would be very apt for my day,
and write something profound about the impact of decisions on all our tomorrows ... (he's a final year student) .... but then I started thinking.
One of the most adorable things about my most adorable students is their trust in me and willingness therefore, to follow my lead.
Trust is reciprocal.
At the end of the day, it went something like this, as I'm standing there like a person who doesn't quite know why they're standing there....
Him (passing by): Hi Miss MHB
Me: Hi, K
Him: Can I help you?
Me: Oh, yes, please... can you stand over there and look beyond the wall?
Him: Yes of course... Like this?
Me: Yes, perfect. Thanks.
Him: Are you taking my photo?
Me: Yes, I don't have a pic for today and was wondering what to do.
Him: Oooh, does that mean I'll be your Blipfoto for today?
Me: Yes, probably, unless of course my cat does something cute.
Him: oh, wow, I am honoured.
(No, it is me who is honoured to have such lovely, lovely people in my life.)
On a day which was very emotional for me as I battled with my inner demons in responding to someone (not a student of course) who, I was forced to realise, does not share my level of honesty or integrity - nor even the willingness to help, as this lad surely does.
