Triffid!

This Gunnera self seeded in our neighbour's lawn a couple of years ago, so to stop it getting mowed down, I moved it to by his/our gate.  I did ask him first!  There is certainly no room for it in our garden, but he's not enamoured with it and the understanding is that I keep it in check! 

Now, with all the gales, it is getting tatty so I've been cutting off the raggety leaves and tidying it up.  I couldn't resist a snap of Ollie next to the biggest leaf before I cut it off, he's really just there to get a size comparison . . . !
