Flight of History

A set of four photos which I think depicts history very well, all taken on a return flight from Spain, so clockwise from top left the Cherbourg Peninsula at 20.000 feet looking back across the coast of Normandy, I think most of us know about this part of France from 1066 to 1944 on then across the channel to Selsey and Chichester Habour and King Canute and all that, and on to the next photograph of Thorney Island airfield at about 10.000 feet finale to the next photo of Littlehampton and the Arun river and Ford airfield famous for it's inflight refuelling trials back in the 1930's and 800 squadron so there you are a brief flight of history
