Pictures at an exhibition

We were passing the Horniman Museum on the way to the O2 Arena today so decided to have a look around. Inside was an exhibition of the winning images from the 2011 Wildlife Photography Awards. They were very good.

I hadn't been to the O2 before and was surprised by its size with so many eating places in the outer area. We were there for Michael McIntyre's show. We saw him a few years back in Epsom when he was a relatively unknown comedian just before his breakthrough appearance at the Hammersmith Apollo. It was a great routine but a big arena like this lacks the intimacy of smaller venues. Instead of watching the tiny figure on stage you watch the big screen so it's very like watching him on TV.
