Matlock Bath Illuminations

A little bit of Vegas in the Peak District with an evening of illuminated boats drifting serenely alonog the river Derwent in Matlock Baths.
The tradition has been going on for over a 100 years.
I spent a lovely evening with the enthusiastic boat builders who contribute so much time and effort building their incredible illuminated floating masterpieces.
Here you see this years winner the Noddy and Big years, and a very fine vessel it is too.
