A parting glass ...

To round off a week's walking, this lovely hotel (or lovely HF - I'm not sure which) surprised us with fizz on the terrace this afternoon. It's been a great week with a convivial group, and the view beyond the terrace shows Montelupo in the afternoon sun.

We feel the trees have turned autumnal while we've been here, and the Alps we saw so clearly on our second day have vanished in the haze. And tomorrow we too shall vanish ...
