Last sail of the day

My dear friend, Rose, and I have been to the lovely town of Nantwich today. I should have taken the opportunity of getting some nice shots in this beautiful historic town but instead have enjoyed over 5 hours of retail therapy - well interspersed with the usual coffee, lunch, wine and tea breaks. The main reason for coming here today was to purchase a fantastic outfit for a wedding I am going to (in this town too) tomorrow and of course, I simply just haven't got anything to wear!! I fell in love with a dress in the first shop we went into (highly unsuitable for a wedding though) and then all other items of apparel after that fell way into insignificance. So I am afraid I still haven't got anything (new) to wear tomorrow and have purchased the (unsuitable for weddings) dress!

Hec, Its now 5.20pm and I haven't got one blip. On our way to Nantwich this morning we passed by a sailing club sailing where there were lots of boats sailing on the lake but sadly on our way home there was only one. In desperation I drove into the club just as the last sail of the day was bringing his laser picot into shore. Bless him, a complete stranger, and to accommodate a blip for me he jumped into his craft again and sailed off into the sunset. When he returned he told me that he was a father of 5 children and due to his demanding job as a Surgeon he had not spent as much time with his offspring as he would have liked. When each of them finished their GCSEs he asked what hobby/interest/sport etc. they would like to learn with him. #1 son said he would like to learn to sail, so they went to do this together; #2 child also wished to learn to sail and #3 child wished to take up photography. I assume the remaining two offspring have not yet done their GCSEs?

The nice sailor said It had been a pleasure to talk to us as two of his favouite pastimes are sailing and photography.

Seems like I killed two birds with one stone then?!!
