Cobwebs
It was utterly beautiful this morning, a proper autumn day, crisp air with warm sunlight and a clear sky. The spiders had been busy overnight spinning their cobwebs on our fence.
We went to playgroup in Stamford this morning and then on to Granny and Grandpa for lunch. By the time we left, both boys were pretty tired and slept all the way home - and gave me an hour or so to get a few things done when we got back. Importantly, this included calling a friend for a lovely chat (although she wasn't very sympathetic about my lack of running and told me exactly what I needed to hear - just get out there and do it).
The eldest woke up terribly grumpy, I fear we're at the terrible two's. The plan was to get out in the garden, but he was not having any of it, so we stayed inside, very rare for my boy. He refused to get dressed after his bath and so we ran the gauntlet and had bedtime stories with no clothes on. Thankfully he was quite happy about clothes and a nappy when it was time to get into bed.
Amazingly, both boys went to sleep with no problems at all - I think we're almost there on the sleep front and I've got my evening's back. Very happy.
