Sharon's visit

Last night a friend arrived to spend the night - she is visiting from Australia and is making her way around England trying to see as many of her friends as she can on this visit. We had a lovely evening chatting and catching up or each other's news - over a bottle of prosecco - we had so much to talk about so it was a bit of a late night.

This morning it was sunny and bright and so we took Murdoch up to the heath for a walk, where I took this photo of her. Then we went in to the village for a coffee at my favourite café which is the closest thing to the decent coffee one gets in Australia, which is sadly lacking from the many high street coffee chains in England. We were invited to lunch at another friend's house and again it was another lovely catch up over lunch.

In other news, the garden in making good progress - its very exciting as the beds have all been dug up and prepared with compost, and the new plants have arrived to be planted. The plants will be placed tomorrow and then planting will commence. However, the main problem of the lawn still has to be solved once the beds are done.
