Firstly a very interesting visit to Lanhydrock not far from Bodmin.
A beautiful, magnificent house set in 1000 acres This property was left by the family to the national trust with 80% of its belongings in it, its as if they've just gone out for tea!

It was destroyed by a fire in 1881 but restored back to its beautifulness if that's the word to describe it.

I can highly recommend it.

We then motored to Rostermal Castle ruins, cold, damp and wet, Superman coat out at this stage but even he can't alter the weather.
