Covehithe
We did a lovely four and a half mile walk in lovely weather at Covehithe today. Covehithe is a tiny hamlet on the east coast of Suffolk that is gradually disappearing into the North Sea due to coastal erosion. The beach is littered with trees and war time pill boxes (concrete look out structures) that have succumbed to the high tides and storms. The extra shows a recent fall of the cliff face, the area was about 5 yards square. The footpath on part of the walk was just a few inches from the edge, hence a quick sidestep past this point.
