Muntjac Deer
I spent the day with a friend at Dunwich today and on a walk through the forest we saw this little Muntjac Deer. He was aware of our presence and was quite happy to watch us as we watched him.
Muntjac Deer, also known as the 'barking deer' are the oldest deer recorded and thought to have begun appearing around 15-35 million years ago with remains found in Miocene deposits in France, Germany and Poland (Wikipedia).
