Weekend Widow Trial Run

Had a lie in this morning until 8am as my husband and I did split shifts with Audrey. He took the morning so I could catch up on some sleep and have a pamper.

It felt good to be back home where everything is easier. Audrey seemed more settled too.

He left at lunchtime to head into Manchester to see some mates.

I took Audrey out in the pram for one of my mammoth walks to the Record Shack in Whalley Range. But as you can see from the pic it was closed. Shame, I do love buying vinyl on a Saturday. An old ritual of mine.

Home via the Farmer's Market where I picked up goodies to make a soup before bathing Audrey and settling in for the night.

My husband will soon be working weekends again so today was a taste of things to come. I was a Weekend Widow for the first few years of our relationship and I can't say I enjoyed it much. Weekends are for families. But at least I now have a little friend to spend time with and I won't be completely alone. Every cloud and all that....
