Bakewell Puddings

Today we made the most of a day off and the lovely weather to take a trip over to Derbyshire  to a lovely town of Bakewell set in the peak district  It is in a lovely setting with the River Wye running through it. It is also home to the famous Bakewell tart and pie. This is one of many shops claiming to sell  the original Bakewell tart . Julie got both a pie and a tart from this shop  i have just captured her in the shot having been to check it out.
A lovely day out with plenty of photo opportunities and fish and chip lunch and even an ice lolly later on in the day. Some of my other shots can be seen HERE  plenty scenic shots and even a couple of Goosanders and a surprising sighting of a trout swimming in the river
