Puff

Spotted this massive (well, 6 inch diameter) puffball over the common this morning. Shortly afterwards we had to double back because the cows were lying across the path.

In other news, I had a chat with Son2 today. He seems to be settling in and has been going out to the freshers' week parties with three of his flat mates, although today they're giving it a miss because it's fancy dress and none of them have a doctor's or nurse's outfit to hand. We've arranged to have lunch on Thursday (his birthday) :)
